Job Description

Role: PMO Specialist (Governance & Compliance Focus)

Experience: 7 to 10 Years

Location: Remote

Work Mode: Remote

Timings: UK Shift

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Compliance

Define establish and enforce project governance frameworks methodologies and best practices across programs and portfolios.

Develop and maintain standardized templates policies and procedures for project planning execution monitoring and closure.

Monitor adherence to organizational methodologies (Agile Waterfall Hybrid PRINCE2 PMP) and compliance with internal/external audit requirements.

Implement a project assurance framework including health checks quality reviews and compliance assessments.

Track measure and report on KPIs SLAs and governance metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Project Support & Coordination

Support project managers in planning scheduling resource allocation and risk management.

Assist with the development of project charters business cases and risk registers.

Facilitate governance meetings steering committee reviews and leadership reporting sessions.

Ensure consistent stakeholder communications and transparent status reporting.

Monitoring Reporting & Control

Maintain centralized dashboards reports and PMO trackers for visibility across the portfolio.

Conduct variance analysis trend reporting and project health assessments.

Manage and escalate risks dependencies and critical issues in a timely manner.

Provide management reporting with insights on performance compliance and portfolio health.

Portfolio & Resource Management

Support prioritization evaluation and approval of projects in line with strategic objectives.

Maintain and govern the project portfolio database with accurate and up-to-date data.

Track budget utilization cost optimization and resource allocation across projects.

Support decision-making through portfolio analytics and governance reviews.

Continuous Improvement & Capability Building

Drive process improvements within the PMO to strengthen governance maturity.

Champion the adoption of new project management tools automation and dashboards.

Conduct lessons learned workshops and embed best practices across teams.

Provide training and mentoring to project managers and team members on governance and compliance practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of project and portfolio governance frameworks.

Expertise in Agile Waterfall Hybrid PRINCE2 PMP methodologies.

Proficiency in PMO tools such as MS Project JIRA Confluence Smartsheet Power BI (or equivalent).
