Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives within the payments domain with a focus on ACH operations. Elicit analyze and document functional and technical requirements for payment solutions.
- Solution Design: Work closely with product owners technology teams and subject matter experts to design payment solutions that meet business needs regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Process Mapping & Optimization: Analyze existing end-to-end payment and ACH processes identify improvement opportunities and recommend optimized workflows to enhance efficiency accuracy and compliance.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs) functional specifications user stories process flow diagrams and other relevant documentation for payment products and ACH functionalities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between business technology vendors and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment on project goals timelines and deliverables.
- ACH Expertise: Provide deep-dive analyses into ACH rules formats (e.g. NACHA files) risk controls exception handling and compliance standards. Serve as the go-to resource for all ACH-related matters.
- Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test cases for ACH and payments features support UAT and validate that solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Training & Support: Develop training materials and conduct sessions for users and internal teams regarding ACH and payment systems.
- Project Management Support: Assist project managers by tracking progress identifying risks managing issues and coordinating across teams for successful project delivery.
- Market & Regulatory Awareness: Stay abreast of the latest trends in payments technology ACH regulations and emerging industry standards
Skills:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems Business Administration Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role within the payments industry with demonstrable expertise in ACH.
- Extensive understanding of ACH payment types (debits and credits) settlement processes returns exceptions and risk management.
- Proven experience working with NACHA file formats rules and processing workflows.
- Solid grasp of payment gateway integrations clearing and settlement fraud controls and regulatory frameworks (e.g. NACHA FedACH Nacha Operating Rules).
- Strong proficiency in process analysis requirements elicitation and translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Experience collaborating with product managers developers and QA teams in agile and waterfall environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex payment concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with process modeling tools data flow diagrams and workflow automation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time in a fast-paced environment.
