Overview
The Senior Director Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) holds both leadership and management responsibilities within a highly visible and strategically critical function. The role oversees the organizations program and project management governance providing leadership coordination and oversight of EPMO processes and practices. The Senior Director is accountable for advancing project portfolio management (PPM) maturity ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and driving consistentexecution across initiatives.
As a key arm of enterprise governance this role also plays a central part in the administration and operationalization of the organizations Objectives and Key Results (OKR) program. This includes supporting enterprise-wide goal setting tracking progress against strategic priorities and ensuring that structured work efforts--projects programs and initiatives--are aligned with and contribute to the achievement of OKRs. The Senior Director ensures that the EPMO delivers measurable value fosters transparency and accountability and enables the organization to execute on its most important goals.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: This highly cross-functional role collaborates with senior leadership internal and external partners and frontline teams to drive strategic alignment and execution. The Senior Director ensures transparency accountability and measurable progress toward enterprise goals.
- Operational Excellence: The Senior Director drives operational visibility and efficiency through disciplined program management data-driven insights and continuous improvement. They define and execute the EPMOs strategic vision project plans and enterprise roadmap.
- Team Organizational Leadership: The Senior Director leads and develops a high-performing team of project managers and analysts fostering a culture of accountability innovation and strategic impact.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree Business Administration Program / Project Management Healthcare Administration Organizational Leadership or related field and 5-7 years experience Leadership project/program management portfolio management enterprise strategy execution or related experience
- Or Bachelors Degree Business Administration Program / Project Management Healthcare Administration Organizational Leadership or related field and 7 or more years experience Leadership project/program management portfolio management enterprise strategy execution or related experience
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) OR Project Management Professional (PMP) OR Program Management Professional (PgMP) OR Graduate Certificate in Project Management (GWCPM) Preferred Upon Hire
- Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred

Starting Pay
Remote Work/Work from Home
This is an intermittent remote position which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Childrens Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
