Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple field crews and office technicians.
- Oversee boundary topographic and transportation survey projects ensuring quality accuracy and compliance with state and federal standards.
- Assemble field data perform calculations and prepare plats maps and legal descriptions.
- Serve as the primary client contact attending project and industry meetings to represent the firm.
- Maintain QA/QC on all deliverables manage budgets schedules and invoicing.
- Mentor and develop surveying staff through training performance reviews and goal setting.
- Support business development efforts including proposal preparation and pursuit strategy.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in at least one U.S. state or ability to obtain in the primary work state within six months (exam fees and reciprocity costs covered).
- 8 years of progressive land surveying experience including DOT roadway or transportation projects.
- Proficiency with MicroStation / OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong knowledge of federal state and local survey regulations.
- Valid drivers license and ability to pass a background check.
- U.S. work authorization (or TN visa eligibility).
Preferred: Multistate licensure SUE experience aerial/LiDAR/sUAS familiarity.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $85000 - $145000 (based on licensure and leadership experience)
- Sign-On Bonus: $5000 - $10000 (paid at 90 days) relocation assistance available
