Lockheed Martins Rotary and Mission Systems C4ISR team is looking for a proven and experienced technical writer to support the Peace Krypton program..
THE WORK
In this important role you will be:
Responsible for the development and maintain technical manuals for prime mission equipment (PME) hardware software systems engineering system operations training and testing to include installation configuration maintenance and operator procedures.
Collaborate with engineers/subject matter experts to understand PME technical updates and create Technical Manual content
Support the development updates and maintenance of CDRL and program documentation

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career or journey level.
Proficient in Adobe FrameMaker Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office software
Proficient in authoring technical content that adheres to required standards style guidance contract requirements and using clear and concise language.
Ability to facilitate/support review boards
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings specifications and system description documents
Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task
Desired Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Jira and Confluence experience
Existing experience and knowledge of military aircraft technical order editing/writing processes
Security Clearance Statement:This position requires a government security clearance you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level:Secret

Ability to Work Remotely:Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas) Colorado Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New Jersey Vermont Washington or Washington DC is $69900 - $123280. For states not referenced above the salary range for this position will reflect the candidates final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position candidates work experience education/ training key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
