Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum NP/PA - Surgery - Neuroendovascular
Join an esteemed facility in Detroit Michigan as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Neuroendovascular Surgery!
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation while providing care in an inpatient hospital-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dates of coverage: 5/1 - 8/30
- Inpatient rounding consults and postoperative care
- No OR/First Assist or procedural work required
- Must understand acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies ICU care and postoperative management
- 240 hours in a 6-week schedule with weekend shifts every 4th week
- Hours: 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. in-house coverage required
- Average patient load: 10 patients per day
- Use of EMR system: eCare/Cerner
- Work autonomously with off-site supervising physician available on-call 24/7
- Conduct simple sutures for minor laceration repairs
- Patient demographics from ages 0 to 99
Qualifications:
- Board Certified (ANCC AANP or NCCPA) - REQUIRED
- Active Michigan license - REQUIRED
- Clean background - REQUIRED
- BLS ENLS NIHSS certifications - REQUIRED
- MI addressed DEA (Verbal Confirmation) - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- AANP Board Certified
- Active Michigan State License
