Job Description

The company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Orlando team. This is a unique opportunity to work on large-scale high-impact projects in the theme park and entertainment industry focusing on ride system design analysis and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for large-scale projects.
  • Perform detailed stress fatigue and load calculations as well as acceleration force and failure analysis.
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments to ensure safety and compliance with ASTM amusement ride safety standards.
  • Design and document mechanical assemblies mounting and bolted connections using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Develop system documentation including test plans design descriptions and maintenance procedures.
  • Design and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Supervise and coordinate with contractors during installation and commissioning.
  • Serve as a technical lead on major projects and manage smaller projects ($50k$250k).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
  • 5-10 years of mechanical engineering experience ideally with full system design responsibility
  • Strong background in stress/fatigue analysis risk assessment and hazard mitigation
  • Experience with theme park ride design or large mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Experience supervising contractors and managing installations
  • Ability to travel up to 35%
