Job Description
Status: Part Time Hourly
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: Facilitator will be responsible for running weekly group sessions emphasizing healthy lifestyles and positive behaviors in home school and the community. At a minimum Facilitator will have experience with group intervention for young people coupled with an ability to relate to youth and families reflecting diverse culture and ethnicity.
- With the Director Advocates and other staff as appropriate to ensure that the needs of the program participants are addressed.
- Based on the selected curriculum develop content and activities for group intervention
- Facilitate weekly group classes following the schedule established for the program.
- Work with the program team to develop and implement a system of incentives and rewards for program participant.
- Administer pre and posttest to program participants and work together with the program team to evaluate results.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree is preferred.
- Experience preferred that is related to selected instructional topics.
- Knowledge of community resources local employment opportunities and college or training programs in New Jersey.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Reliable transportation valid drivers license and auto insurance coverage required
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
