Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for a Advisor Finance Process Analysis and Reporting Continuous Improvement (CI) to join our global team.

Team and Job Purpose

The Financial Transformation teams purpose is to streamline and innovate financial processes to enhance operational efficiency and strategic decision-making across the organization. By providing precise and timely financial insights the team ensures that stakeholders have the necessary tools to drive growth and maintain compliance.

Role purpose

This role will support continuous improvement and digital transformation within the Finance function contributing to process improvements automation and enhanced reporting. It involves documenting and reviewing processes across teams to identify improvement and automation opportunities.

Additionally this role will help us build targeted user friendly accurate and automated Power BI reports that support our Finance processes and provide information to decision makers. They will contribute to moving our reporting from the transactional Finance system to our Data management platform Fabric and maintain a process and report repository.

Principal Accountabilities

Experience and Skills

Essential

  1. Significant years either in a Big 4 audit or consulting team or Finance process experience in a large international Corporate or INGO
  2. Strong understanding of Finance processes and data flows (GL AR AP assets intercompany allocations financial close FX etc) and the related accounting and control considerations
  3. Demonstrated ability to analyse finance processes identify inefficiencies and solve complex problems and support the implementation of improvements.
  4. Experience in Power BI dashboard development with a willingness to expand expertise in data visualisation and reporting automation. Strong Power BI and Excel knowledge
  5. High level of drive commitment to achieving solutions and ability to work under pressure
  6. Ability to engage with senior leadership across Finance and other business functions to challenge the status quo and to present compelling arguments and gain buy-in
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
  8. Independent working ability to self-manage taking personal responsibility for quality of delivery
