Job Description
Our client a company in the transportation and logistics industry is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with specialised expertise in UD Trucks to join their team in New Castle KwaZulu-Natal.

Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Trade Test Certificate (QCTO/Red Seal or equivalent) in Diesel Mechanics.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualifying experience as a Diesel Mechanic with specific expertise in UD Trucks.
- Proven skills in diagnostics repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles particularly UD Trucks.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems hydraulics pneumatics and electrical components.
- Valid drivers license; Code EC or Code 14 license with PDP (Professional Driving Permit) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Diagnose repair and maintain UD Trucks including engines transmissions brakes and suspension systems.
- Perform routine maintenance inspections and advanced troubleshooting to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Conduct repairs on hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems specific to UD Trucks.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and UD-specific software to identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate service records and job cards in compliance with QCTO and industry standards.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols and regulations.
