Job Description
DIRECT HIRE
A growing company in the residential construction industry is seeking a qualified Estimator and Cost Analyst to join their team. This role plays a critical part in evaluating new construction projects by estimating material and labor costs supporting project pricing and maintaining internal costing systems.
If youre detail-oriented in cost estimating and blueprint interpretation youll find this position both challenging and rewarding. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who excels in a fast-paced small-team environment and enjoys working on custom construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project documentation including blueprints drawings and specifications
Generate accurate material and labor estimates using industry software and tools (Excel Bluebeam AutoCAD Revit)
Collaborate with internal departmentssales engineering purchasing and productionto confirm project scope and requirements
Develop pricing proposals and support sales with customer-ready estimates
Maintain and update internal pricing systems and cost databases
Analyze market and vendor trends to inform pricing strategies
Support periodic work-in-progress (WIP) evaluations and assist with annual pricing reviews
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience in construction estimating or related fields
Strong ability to perform take-offs and read construction documents
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating or design software (Revit AutoCAD Bluebeam) is a plus
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Comfortable working across teams and with external vendors or suppliers
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Education:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Construction Management or a related field preferred
