Job Description

Position: Health and Safety Advisor

Location: Belgrade Serbia

Employment type: Full-time


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and assess potential workplace risks including those arising from new processes equipment or changes in working conditions and recommend preventive measures.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols monitor equipment condition and verify correct use of protective gear.
  • Organize develop and deliver safety training for employees and managers to promote awareness and proper implementation of safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation including prevention and protection plans inspection reports and regulatory records.
  • Collaborate with external service providers for risk assessments equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Work with internal safety committees or designated teams to address high-risk areas and propose improvement measures.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and accidents document findings and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and regularly update emergency response evacuation and prevention plans; ensure all staff are trained in their application.
  • Stay informed on relevant safety regulations standards and best practices through ongoing professional development.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Native or fluent in English (C1 level) with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
  • Bachelors degree in occupational safety technical sciences or a related field.
  • 35 years of professional experience in occupational health and safety (OHS) or a similar safety-focused role.
  • Valid OHS certification or license (where legally required).
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations risk management procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to assess hazards implement safety measures and oversee the use and maintenance of safety equipment.
  • Physically capable of performing workplace inspections in various environments.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
