Job Description
Role description:
- Work with DBAs report developers data scientists and other data engineers to build maintain and evolve data pipelines.
- Build architecture and flow diagrams representing the movement processing and validation of data across systems. Model and scale databases ensuring the flow of data within the organization.
- Communicate clearly about data sources their reliability the interpretation of data fields while understanding how data processing design choices may impact analysis and application tools e.g. pricing tools and system(s) downstream.
- Build domain knowledge of the data you work with including but not limited to what data fields mean how to access the single source of truth for a given dataset how data can reliably be interpreted.
- At times analyze data for insights reconciliation with other data sources and/or reporting outputs.
- Develop visual reports dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
- Provide data analysis expertise and reporting using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services (2008 onwards).
- Translate data into informative visuals and reports.
- Identify areas for improvements and recommend changes
- Act as a liaison between cross functional teams and participate in resolving new Business Intelligence requests using Power BI.
- Find the best solution to develop the MSOL global database with the newest Microsoft technology (Fabric Pipelines SQL PySpark)
- Define and develop database architecture in Azure Cloud
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in the relevant field such as Computer Science Information Technology
- Candidate must have at least 4 years of related experience
- Fluent in English both written and verbal.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Experience in creating dimensional models.
- Experience leading data-related projects.
- Experience designing and building architecture components for data ecosystems.
- Extensive experience with database object creations like tables views indexes stored procedures and jobs.
- Experience setting up complex ETL processes involving relational and non-relational data.
- Knowledge of Python Scala Agile Frameworks.
- Knowledge of the following technologies is desired:
- Azure Repos (Git)
- CI/CD pipelining (Azure Data Factory)
- Big Data Technology
- Power BI
