Job Description
This role is for a Certified OR Tech in an acute care hospital setting. The position requires scrubbing experience and a minimum of two years of experience as a surgical technologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures preparing operating rooms and maintaining a sterile environment. Floating to other facilities including an outpatient surgery pavilion may be required.
- Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.
- Maintaining surgical instruments and equipment.
- Scrubbing in on a variety of surgical cases including general orthopedic urological gynecological and endoscopic procedures.
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Floating to sister facilities and outpatient surgery pavilion as needed.
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a surgical technologist in an inpatient setting.
- Scrubbing experience required.
- BLS certification.
- SPD experience.
- Outpatient surgical experience.
- Floating to sister facilities (including outpatient surgery pavilion) is required.
- Must be willing to work a 4x10 hour shift schedule.
- The facility is located in the OP Pavilion of an acute care hospital.
- RTO (return to office) must be included at time of submission.
- 50-mile radius for local rate.
