Job Description

Introduction

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sales Management

    • Oversee the new car sales department and drive performance to meet monthly and annual sales targets.

    • Develop and implement sales strategies campaigns and promotions specific to MG vehicles.

    • Manage the sales process to ensure a smooth customer experience from inquiry to delivery.

  • Team Leadership

    • Recruit train motivate and coach the sales team to achieve individual and group targets.

    • Monitor team performance set KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews.

    • Foster a customer-focused culture aligned with MGs brand values.

  • Customer Relationship Management

    • Maintain excellent customer service standards handling escalated queries and ensuring customer satisfaction.

    • Develop repeat and referral business through strong client relationships.

    • Oversee the trade-in and valuation process for used vehicles against new MG stock.

  • Operational & Administrative

    • Ensure compliance with dealership policies OEM (MG) requirements and financial regulations.

    • Control stock levels ordering and allocation of new vehicles.

    • Monitor and report on sales figures forecasts and market trends.

    • Collaborate with finance & insurance (F&I) managers to close deals effectively.

  • Marketing & Brand Representation

    • Work with marketing teams to plan showroom events launches and local campaigns.

    • Maintain the dealerships brand standards in the showroom and customer interactions

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education & Experience

    • Matric (Grade 12) essential; tertiary qualification in Business Sales or Marketing advantageous.

    • Minimum 5 years of automotive sales experience with at least 23 years in a management/supervisory role.

    • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.

    • Knowledge of MG products competitors and the local market advantageous.

  • Skills

    • Strong leadership and people management skills.

    • Excellent communication negotiation and closing ability.

    • Customer service orientation with a professional and approachable demeanor.

    • Ability to analyze sales data and implement strategies based on insights.

    • Computer literacy (CRM systems Excel dealership management systems).

  • Other Requirements

    • Valid drivers license.

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    • High energy self-motivated and results-driven personality
