Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Management
Oversee the new car sales department and drive performance to meet monthly and annual sales targets.
Develop and implement sales strategies campaigns and promotions specific to MG vehicles.
Manage the sales process to ensure a smooth customer experience from inquiry to delivery.
Team Leadership
Recruit train motivate and coach the sales team to achieve individual and group targets.
Monitor team performance set KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews.
Foster a customer-focused culture aligned with MGs brand values.
Customer Relationship Management
Maintain excellent customer service standards handling escalated queries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Develop repeat and referral business through strong client relationships.
Oversee the trade-in and valuation process for used vehicles against new MG stock.
Operational & Administrative
Ensure compliance with dealership policies OEM (MG) requirements and financial regulations.
Control stock levels ordering and allocation of new vehicles.
Monitor and report on sales figures forecasts and market trends.
Collaborate with finance & insurance (F&I) managers to close deals effectively.
Marketing & Brand Representation
Work with marketing teams to plan showroom events launches and local campaigns.
Maintain the dealerships brand standards in the showroom and customer interactions
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
Matric (Grade 12) essential; tertiary qualification in Business Sales or Marketing advantageous.
Minimum 5 years of automotive sales experience with at least 23 years in a management/supervisory role.
Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Knowledge of MG products competitors and the local market advantageous.
Skills
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication negotiation and closing ability.
Customer service orientation with a professional and approachable demeanor.
Ability to analyze sales data and implement strategies based on insights.
Computer literacy (CRM systems Excel dealership management systems).
Other Requirements
Valid drivers license.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High energy self-motivated and results-driven personality
