Location: Letty Owings Clinic

SUMMARY: Join Central City Concern as a Facility Supervisor and lead the care and upkeep of supportive housing for women including the Letty Owings Center and Lauras this hands-on role youll oversee daily operations supervise staff coordinate resident services and maintain safe welcoming spaces both inside and out. Bring your skills in property management repairs and preventative maintenance to directly support the well-being stability and recovery of women and families in our community. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Provide supervision oversight of the Facilities Assistant.
  • Ensure either by self or by delegation the continued maintenance of:
    • The physical facility including but not limited to the structures utility systems gas furnaces furniture and equipment.
    • The general grounds including lawns shrubs flowerbeds child play areas and parking areas.
    • The exterior structures such as fences walls and planter boxes and Landscape needs including mowing edging weeding trimming trees bushes plants ETC
    • The physical security of the program buildings to include but not limited to fire and emergency equipment sprinkler systems and other fire suppression or safety equipment.
  • Perform building upkeep room inventory room turnover vacant room preparation tasks and routine pest control measures.
  • Oversee and perform janitorial services including oversight of assigned janitor/building assistant and/or outside vendors to maintain clean floors carpeting bathroom and regular disposal/removal of waste trash or broken or abandoned items; as needed and required.
  • Respond personally to all physical building emergencies in a forthright and timely manner using self or outside contracted service organizations.
  • Supervise dispatch delivery and pick-up of equipment for maintenance of buildings.
  • Supervise document and record the execution of required fire alarm drills in order to remain in compliance with State and local laws and Oregon Administrative Rules.
  • Together with the Director of Program and CCC Facilities leadership identify plan for and implement all building repairs/remodeling projects by use of self assigned staff or outside contractors.
    • Coordinate the use activities and access to the building of all vendors/contractors or service repairpersons.
  • Participate in the Letty Owings and Lauras Place Safety Committees as the Chairperson and be willing to perform all required duties as directed by the Central City Concern Executive Safety Oversight Committee Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration and remain compliant with all relative Federal State and local laws.
  • Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality privacy and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners and outside providers patient confidentiality agreements including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediate reporting of any PHI breach of CCC or outside provider health records to the CCC Legal and Quality departments as well as to the program administrator.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Sufficient manual dexterity and the physical ability to perform a wide variety of cleaning maintenance and material handling tasks.
    • The ability to successfully interact with a variety of people including clients co-workers administrative and clinical staff medical personnel volunteers the general public and other agencies.
    • Ability to work as part of a highly integrated team.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and orally.
    • Ability to successfully exercise management of time and meet assigned deadlines.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and all necessary paperwork.
    • Ability to learn and apply training instruction
    • Ability to establish and maintain professional healthy boundaries with clients and staff.
    • Ability to work effectively in a residential recovery environment with clients their children clinical staff Administrative and facility staff.
    • Ability to maintain client confidentiality in conformance with program guidelines and federal law.
    • Ability to serve as a positive role model for clients their children and other staff members.
    • Ability to maintain the necessary structure to ensure a healthy residential recovery environment.
    • Ability to tolerate ambiguity and change.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Completion of High School or GED required.
      • Must have 2 years supervisory
      • Must have maintenance experience.
      • Residential or Clinical facilities/ maintenance experience preferred
      • Must have clear professional boundaries and well-developed problem-solving skills.
      • Must be able to work either inside or out in extreme heat or cold safely traverse slippery or uneven surfaces work from ladders safely and be able to work with hand/hands submerged in water.
      • Have or able to obtain Adult and Child/Infant CPR Certification AND Adult and Pediatric First Aid Certification prior to start date.
      • Must possess or obtain certification in Renovation Repair and Painting (RRP) and Lead-based Paint Activities by the Oregon Health Authority (OHS) within 30 days of start date and must submit proof of certification to HR within 30 days from start date.
      • Ability to adhere to Central City Concerns drug-free workplace which encourages a safe healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988. An employee shall not in the workplace unlawfully manufacture distribute dispense possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
      • The OAR prohibits A&D program staff from having within the previous 3 years a DUI conviction or diversion a felony conviction or a conviction under the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
      • Must possess a current drivers license access to a vehicle qualify as an Acceptable Driver as designated in Central City Concerns Fleet Safety policy. Must pass an initial drivers training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training. Must maintain vehicle insurance coverage of a minimum of $100000/$300000 personal auto liability coverage.
      • Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Card.
      • Physical ability to bend stoop kneel squat twist reach pull and lift heavy objects up to 50lbs. At least 3 feet off the ground up to three times per shift.
      • Must be able to climb stairs several times a day.
      • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen TB test and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit. Must be approved by the Childcare Background Check Unit.
      • Knowledge of occupational hazards and general safety precautions.
      • Must adhere to agency non-discrimination policies.
      • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds religious views political affiliation cultural backgrounds life-styles and sexual orientations and treat individuals with respect and dignity.
