What You Will Achieve
This role will provide strategic and operational leadership for the PGS Facility Systems Engineering Organization. This will include Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) Net Zero Strategy and Facility Engineering programs (such as HVAC Water Systems Electrical Utilities etc.). This position will drive global strategy and implementation of the IFM program and Net Zero initiatives along with subject matter expertise of critical equipment and systems. Key accountabilities include ensuring operational effectiveness of site services and systems ensuring standard operations deploying change management tools contract management driving continuous improvement resolving technical challenges providing subject matter expertise and maintaining good vendor relations at sites or within the broader PGS network.
IFM
Provide leadership of the IFM program globally through strong governance standardized processes and effective change management
Assess the sites current IFM related workstreams including scope of work spending baseline resources outsourced work etc. to develop validate the business case and implement the specific solution for the site/region after proper endorsement from leadership and in collaboration with other required Center functions and the sites
Lead the IFM Team to ensure all critical elements of the strategy are properly supported by the corresponding functions and thorough implementation plans are established to ensure a successful and sustainable program.
Formulate operational strategies consistent with IFM best practices and current initiatives (PACE LCAM NetZero MRO BEST One Engineering etc.)
Establish proper performance and compliance monitoring and control tools including KPI measures reports GMAx management processes Communication plans Governance etc.
Address and resolve operational issues and concerns
Manage the IFM Program after implementation including operational contract requirements vendor relationships monitoring industry benchmarking and mutual site support
Working with the vendor and site teams develop/execute innovative and continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Net Zero Technical Strategy
Assess NZ technologies and develop enterprise strategy for utilization
Site level NZ execution strategy to ensure aligned corporate goals
Present opportunities to sites to optimize performance efficiency and sustainability
Provide input and guidance in ideation and design of projects to improve sustainability and mitigate quality and supply assurance risks
Metering and Monitoring systems deployments (EnPI Clockworks)
Refresh NZ Technology Assessment and Impact to sites
Annual update of NZ Masterplans and associated capital plan updates
Support of sites to achieve energy reduction target
Support the development of strategy documents such as the Network Cogen Strategy
Facility Engineering
Through a team of SMEs provide leadership and guidance in compliance and operational improvement support of key critical systems (HVAC Water Systems Electrical Utilities etc.) in all Pfizer manufacturing facilities. Work includes supporting design and operation of systems for but not limited to aseptic bio-tech solid oral dose liquids and API facilities.
Contribute to energy conservation carbon reduction & productivity improvements
Guide project and utility teams to resolve equipment / facility issues
Ensure that all safety instructions and measures are strictly observed
Ensure compliance to regulatory norms best practices and global policies and procedures
Function as SME on Pfizer Quality Standards (PQS) related to these systems. This will transition onto Revolution and support Revolutions deployment of L-2 GSOPs GWIs and other associated documents.
Provide industry best practices by active engagement with industry peers and associations
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Bachelors degree with at least 8 years of experience; OR a Masters degree with more than 7 years of experience; OR a Ph.D. with 5 years of experience.
Experience working within a pharmaceutical industry or related manufacturing environment managing a large engineering maintenance and utilities organization is also required.
Strong administrative leadership strategic and technical skills are a must
In depth working knowledge of Reliability Energy and Sustainability Utility Systems MRO and EHS Programs as well as pharmaceutical manufacturing operations expertise
Contract management experience
Credible Leader in the EMU community and PGS that will drive a One Engineering Community
Extensive experience with a broad customer base and technical teams.
Strong capability to establish rapport with OpU/Cluster leaders.
Strong partnership skills
Global experience beneficial
An exceptional degree of ingenuity creativity resourcefulness and innovative capabilities.
Understanding of IFM Business Strategies and Market trends.
Strong Change Management leader
Knowledgeable of financial models and computer literacy.
Leverage new technologies (AI Dashboards etc) and innovations.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of critical systems such as HVAC Water Systems Electrical Utilities (both clean and grey) etc.
Strong understanding of soft services (service delivery of janitorial cafeteria pest control etc.) hard services (electrical plumbing HVAC building envelope/fabric etc.) and Utility systems (boilers chillers compressors cooling towers etc.)
Strong capabilities to understand lead and nurture a growing business support program.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Able visit/work in mechanical spaces such as utility plants mechanical equipment rooms and other industrial environments. Able to utilize Personal Protective Equipment
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Able to travel globally 40%
Able to work in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments that include utility plants mechanical equipment rooms and GMP manufacturing spaces
Able to utilize Personal Protective Equipment for industrial spaces and to gown for various GMP environments
