This Position reports to:
Procurement Team LeadProcurement & Logistics Engineering Specialist (m/f/d)
Are you excited to kickstart your career at the intersection of engineering and global supply chains This 2-year opportunity will immerse you in high-impact development projects supplier interactions and strategic procurementgiving you real responsibility from day one.
Join our cross-functional team in Heidelberg where youll support the creation and optimization of products produced by highly automated and modern product lines. Youll collaborate with R&D Engineering Quality and Planning teams working closely with suppliers to ensure innovation reliability and efficiency at every step.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Contribute to product development projects as sub-project manager for procurement and logistics coordinating all SCM activities
Collaborate with R&D Engineering Logistics and strategic suppliers to ensure transparency alignment and timely execution
Develop plan and implement supply strategies for several categories with a focus on cost quality delivery and supplier reliability
Lead or support negotiations with suppliers including renewing of price lists optimizing terms and managing long-term agreements
Identify and nominate new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality team. Support their development to meet the required level for sustainable quality and on-time delivery performance.
Qualifications for the role
A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering industrial engineering or business administration with a focus on supply chain or operations
Ideally up to 3 years of experience (internships student roles or junior positions welcome) in procurement supply chain or logistics
Strong analytical and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
High degree of flexibility team spirit motivation and the ability to influence at all levels in a multi-stakeholder environment.
Fluent German and English language at C2 level
Willingness to travel (up to 25% mostly within Europe)
