About the Role

As a Manager of Supply Chain youll lead UMCs supply chain team in achieving operational excellence through strategic supply chain management ensuring seamless flow from suppliers to customers while maintaining optimal inventory levels supplier relationships and delivery performance. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on strategic thinking process optimization and leading high-performing teams to support our mission of Going Beyond for our customers. What Youll Do

Lead Manage and Hold Accountable

  • Provide clear direction and leadership while creating a work environment where people are fully engaged and highly accountable.
  • Work on the business by providing clear direction and taking time to think strategically.
  • Work in the business by creating clear expectations communicating well and ensuring things get done.

Supply Chain Strategy & Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for supply chain optimization and scalability to support UMCs growth.

Operations Planning and Execution

  • Oversee inventory management and material planning from suppliers through customer delivery.
  • Manage master production schedule to attain committed delivery dates using knowledge of manufacturing processes and systematic planning tools.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely inbound material flow and outbound customer deliveries.

Supplier Management and Development

  • Monitor supplier performance against quality delivery and cost requirements.
  • Lead supplier selection qualification and development initiatives in collaboration with other departments.

Cross-Functional Communication

  • Partner effectively across all UMC departments to ensure integrated operational execution.
Requirements

What Youll Bring

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • APICS or CPIM certification preferred.
  • 5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years of management experience leading teams.

Skills and Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) Advanced Inventory Planning (AIP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent project management and process improvement skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong business & financial acumen.
  • Exceptional people management and team development skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to drive results through influence and collaboration.
