Job Description

Account Executive Group Sales

Headquarters

Job Summary:

The Account Executive Group Sales will focus on identifying cultivating and driving new business revenue across the Phoenix Suns Phoenix Mercury and PHX Arena events with a heavy emphasis on group sales. Reporting to the Vice President Group Sales & Service this role is responsible for generating revenue through identifying new business opportunities selling customized group experiences and cross-selling a full menu of ticketing products.

As part of the Group Sales team this individual will have access to a robust suite of hospitality spaces and event experiences to sell with the goal of delivering revenue results and exceptional client service. Additionally Group Sales Executive will manage renew and grow assigned accounts while collaborating with internal teams to plan and execute group events theme nights and programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate group ticket revenue across all Player 15 Group properties through outbound sales efforts including phone calls emails virtual meetings and in-person presentations.
  • Consistently exceed weekly monthly and annual sales goals and sales activity minimum standards.
  • Create tailored experiences and packages for group leaders to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities through lead generation referrals networking events and market research.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects while tracking all activity using internal system (e.g. CRM etc.)
  • Provide best-in-class service by managing the planning communication and execution of group outings.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing game presentation and event operations to ensure outstanding group experiences.
  • Attend games and events to host clients execute group programs and drive upsell opportunities.
  • Support department-wide initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in group ticketing strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Minimum Criteria:

  • 1-3 years of sales experience (ticket sales B2B fundraising or hospitality sales preferred).
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Coachable collaborative and driven with a strong work ethic and commitment to individual and team success.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for relationship building.
  • Comfortable with cold calling in-person meetings and event hosting.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Ticketmaster Archtics Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Strong desire to grow a career in sports ticket sales and service.

  • S-Sedentary Work Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Position is predominately computer-based requiring the use of a computer monitor.
  • Must be able to carry on a conversation both on the phone and in-person.
  • Ability to Read Write & Speak in English
