The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for an Asset Strategy Program Manager. This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of MDTs asset management program. Responsible for the development implementation maintaining and advancing a comprehensive asset strategy program that informs decision-making across all areas of the department (maintenance operations planning engineering and budget). Responsible for having data-driven investments that preserve the condition performance and value of MDTs transportation infrastructure over its lifecycle. This position will report directly to the Asset Strategy Operations & Maintenance Manager and will have 4 direct reports. Bachelors degree in civil engineering business administration business management business finance mathematics data analytics or related degree.
6 years of related experience.
3 years of progressively responsible management experience.
Alternative combinations of related experience or education may be considered. Such as 10 years of related experience and 3 years of progressively responsible management experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of asset management principles including lifecycle planning risk-based prioritization and performance-based investment strategies.
Understanding of transportation data systems condition assessment and statistical analysis is essential to support data-driven decision-making and long-term infrastructure planning.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
