99 Ranch Market Portland OR Store is now hiring Meat Clerks!

Job Duties:
- Display - Set up fresh meat cases and ensure products have the proper signage. Maintain an attractive product display to showcase freshness and quality while following company standards for merchandising.
- Sales Floor Maintain - Keep aisles and common walking areas clean/cleared of boxes and debris to prevent injury.
- Replenish - Unload and break down deliveries; stock freezers with products; refill products to meet customer needs and rotate for freshness.
- Dumping - Handle expired and recalled products properly. Keep accurate logs in accordance with the policies of the company state food safety and health regulations.
- Stock - Arrange stockroom properly; stock shelves with products and rotate products using the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method.
- Customer Service - Provide excellent service to the customer and answer any questions or concerns the customer may have.
- PI Count - Work with other team members to conduct the inventory count.
- Cleaning - Follow the company policy to clean the walk-in cooler and freezer. Follow company policy to clean and sanitize display cases scales and counters in a safe manner.
- Meat Sales - Cut wrap and package items at customers request in a way that is efficient and accurate.
- Perform other duties for business needs.
Minimum Requirement:
- Previous meat department experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of general meat product lines or similar experience.
- Available to work on weekends and holidays or on rotating schedules.
Skills Requirement:
- Ability to communicate effectively to customers and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions procedures and other company policies.
- Requires proper training and knowledge of equipment operation.
Physical Demands:
- Standing in place for a long period of time bending to pick up items and kneeling regularly.
- Lifting items weighing 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment.
- Able to work occasionally with environment temperatures ranging from 32 to 50F.
Employment Type: Part-time 7 days a week 30 hours per week.
Salary: $16.50/hour - $17.50/hour.
