Position Objective: To ensure a smooth efficient and high-quality guest experience in the cafeteria by upholding food and sanitation standards supporting inventory functions and promoting a collaborative work environment. The Front-Line Server is dedicated to providing outstanding guest service by ensuring prompt friendly and attentive interactions throughout the dining experience. This role emphasizes maintaining an inviting environment upholding the highest food presentation and cleanliness standards and supporting the team to deliver a consistently exceptional and welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Responsibilities: - Ensure efficient service and a positive guest experience.
- Conduct quality control checks on breakfast and lunch setups to confirm food is properly cooked and consistent with menu ingredients and allergen information.
- Notify the head chef of non-compliant food items to the kitchen for correction and ensure replacements meet expectations.
- Ensure food service lines are fully stocked for each meal period and assist with restocking and compliance tasks.
- Assist with beverage and soft serve machines ensuring they are cleaned and stocked daily.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist kitchen staff with receiving and properly storing incoming inventory upon delivery.
- Help with monitoring front-of-house supplies and notify chef/sous chef when low on stock.
- Ensure consistent adherence to exemplary service and cleanliness standards.
- Act as a team player stepping in to support and help out where needed in the kitchen.
Education Experience and Skills Required: - Minimum 2 years of experience in food service or cafeteria operations preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety sanitation protocols and allergen awareness.
- Excellent leadership delegation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to consistency and quality control.
- Experience with inventory tracking or restocking procedures is a plus.
- Ability to act as a team player and fill in where needed.
Working conditions: - The position is based in an indoor cafeteria and kitchen
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods; must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Regular interaction with employees vendors and cafeteria team members in a high-paced setting.
- Occasional early mornings or schedule flexibility may be needed for deliveries or prep work.
- Must adhere to company dress code and food safety regulations.
