We are looking for an Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team based in Plankenbrug Stellenbosch. Responsibilities:
- Design and Drafting: Create precise 3D models and technical drawings in SolidWorks for conveyor systems machinery and steel structures.
- Costing and Planning: Prepare accurate cost estimates and BOMs; collaborate with teams to ensure efficient cost-effective solutions.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects coordinating with internal departments to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Client Interaction: Liaise directly with clients present designs and ensure clear professional communication throughout.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets industry standards and internal benchmarksaccuracy is non-negotiable.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related)
- 35 years engineering experience
- 3 years SolidWorks proficiency
- Strong client liaison skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to manage project scope based on experience
