Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Neonatologist in Cartersville GA
Pediatrix Medical Group a national leader in neonatal and pediatric care is thrilled to offer an exceptional full-time position for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologist. Join our newly established Level II NICU at Piedmont Cartersville Regional Medical Center a top-ranked facility located in the charming and rapidly growing suburb of Cartersville just 45 minutes north of downtown Atlanta.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care to newborns requiring Level II NICU support.
- Attend high-risk and C-section deliveries.
- Cover a 12-bed newborn nursery including well-baby care when pediatricians are unavailable.
- Round in-house during the day.
- Take call from home overnight.
- Work in a collaborative environment with nurses and allied staff.
- Contribute to quality improvement and care coordination initiatives.
- Support newborn resuscitation and stabilization as needed.
- Not accepting Locums candidates.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology - REQUIRED
- GA license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED
- Experience or training in Level II NICU care - REQUIRED
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED
Licenses and Certifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.
- Georgia Medical License.
