Job Description
Job Title: Locum - Physician - Neurosurgery in Petoskey MI
Join a leading healthcare facility in Northern Michigan! We are in need of a skilled Neurosurgeon to provide comprehensive care covering 24-hour call in a hospital-based setting. The facility is equipped with imaging lab procedure rooms and the operating room all on site. You will be supported by fellow specialists and providers ensuring a collaborative and effective care environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour call coverage including emergent call surgeries and inpatient rounding.
- Perform both spinal and cranial procedures as required.
- See approximately 5-10 inpatients daily.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for electronic documentation and patient management.
- Collaborate with the existing healthcare team including one neurosurgeon one ortho-spinal surgeon and APPs.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neurosurgery (no Board Eligible candidates).
- ACLS Certification.
- Active Michigan medical license (not accepting IMLC).
- Clean background with no actions (minimum malpractice is acceptable).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience required.
Licenses and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified (Required).
- ACLS Certification (Required).
- Active Michigan License (Required no exceptions).
