Description
The Early Learning Center of Boys & Girls Club serving White Pine County needs an Afternoon Teacher towork independently and as part of a team to care for toddlers at our center!

Responsibilities for Afternoon Teacher:
You will often work independently in groups of the following sizes:
- Four (4) 0-9-month-olds
- Six (6) 9-24-month-olds (this is the anticipated opening)
- Nine (9) 2-year-olds
- Twelve (12) 3-year-olds
- Thirteen (13) 4/5-year-olds
And will:
- Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in his/her care
- Check children in and out
- Give bottles to infants
- Feedsolid foods as age appropriate
- Change diapers as needed
- Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
- Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys
- Play with toddlers and preschoolers
- Lead toddler and preschooler activities
- Put infants in cribs for nap time
- Ensure play sleep and changing areas are kept clean
- Clean toys at end of day
Pay: $14.00 - $16.50 per hour
Shift: 12:30pm to 6pm
Hiring Process:

Qualifications
Qualifications for PT Teacher
- Must pass Drug Test (only includes drugs illegal in the state of Nevada)
- Must Pass Background Check
- Must provide references
- Must be available Monday through Friday
- Meet annual professional development requirements per state of Nevada Licensing
- Willing to work with ages from 6 weeks to 5 years
- Caring individual who gets to know children by name
- Dedicated to local community
- Helping the team is a priority
- Great speaking and customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
Education:
- High school or GED (Preferred)
Experience:
- Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
