The Data and Reporting Professional 2 generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. The Data and Reporting Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The In-Home Health and Wellbeing assessment team is seeking a Business Analyst who is adept in data analytics and possesses a keen eye for monitoring and troubleshooting KPIs. This role requires someone who can effectively engage in interoperability initiatives and perform ad-hoc analyses to support our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have insatiable curiosity and a strong aptitude for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop SQL queries for adhoc data pulls analysis and identification of root cause
  • Utilize existing reports and dashboards to montior and report out on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Participate in interoperability initiatives to ensure seamless data integration across various platforms teams and IHWA vendors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Refine business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • This position will have a list of regular monthly and weekly to-do items on top of ad-hoc analysis requests and projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Information Systems OR equivalent experience in a data or analytics oriented role.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas pivots charts and graphs.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and understand raw data reports and dashboards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strategic thinker and skilled communicator.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to a team focused on continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work onsite occasionally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medicare Risk Adjustment background and knowledge.
  • 1 or more years of experience in SQL SAS QlikView and Tableau.
  • Experience in designing developing and maintaining visually appealing reports and dashboards in Power Bi Microsoft PowerPoint or similar applications.
  • Automation experience.
  • Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data.

Additional Information

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees ability to work effectively the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California Illinois Montana or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills knowledge experience education certifications etc.


$60800 - $82900 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
