This Position reports to:
Production ManagerProduction Supervisor role includes leading a team within a production unit or line in the execution of production processes to transform parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely cost-effective manner. Ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes schedules procedures safety and quality standards and policies.
Typical tasks and activities for this role include but are not limited to the items listed below:
The Production Supervisor maintains working knowledge of schedules costs quality safety material utilization and efficiency.
Organizes and allocates resources to meet production targets effectively and efficiently. Responds to resource issues as necessary. Leads capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned unit or line.
Focuses on equipment/labor performance analyzes input and output data and uses this as a tool for continuous improvement
Identifies and recommends technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary. Ensures execution of volume conforming product and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines.
Identifies deficiencies in production area proposes improvement activities and oversees implementation of actions to improve production performance.
Manages the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.
Provides leadership and development to team to create a skilled work group. Guides and motivates team. Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization on a regular cadence. Manages changes through effective change management techniques.
Bachelors Degree or relevant industry experience (2-5) years of relevant related work in the manufacturing industry experience.
Experience in monitoring KPI and metrics to adequately ensure highest quality and performance.
Computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Experience with medium to high voltage electrical distribution products is desired.
Knowledge in lean manufacturing principles including 5S Kaizen events and process improvements.
Multi-shift production management
Strong supervisory skills
Flexible to changing needs
Able to prioritize projects and handle multiple projects at one time
