Agency Bookkeeper
An established insurance agency is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented highly accurate and committed to maintaining precise financial records. Prior experience in insurance bookkeeping is highly preferred with a strong understanding of agency operations. This role will primarily focus on client accounting and reconciliation ensuring all financial records are accurate timely and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts receivable & accounts payable
- Reconcile client invoices and payments
- Prepare financial reports and assist with monthly/quarterly/annual closings
- Maintain accurate records of premiums and policy-related transactions
- Collaborate with the insurance team to ensure accurate financial data tracking
- Assist with audits and compliance requirements specific to the insurance industry
- Utilize accounting software to manage and streamline bookkeeping tasks
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
- Proficiency in Excel; Applied EPIC experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and insurance-related financial processes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and external stakeholders
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus
Compensation Package:
- Compensation: Between $50K-$70K (based on experience).
