Job Description
We are searching for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner -- someone who works well in a fast-paced this position you will work under the supervision of the site physician(s) and work collaboratively with other members of the health care team to render age-appropriate care. Practicing under established protocols the NP assumes independent responsibilities in the assessment diagnosis and initiation of treatment and procedures.
Description:
Part time 30 hours per week average 3 shifts per week.
This Nurse Practitioner will float to the South-Central Region Urgent Care locations including The Medical Center Heights Pearland and East. Hours are Monday - Friday from 12p-10p and on weekends 10a-8pm.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in nursing required
- RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing licensure Compact required
- PNP-BC certification from the Texas Board of Nursing required
- BLS or PALS certification from the American Heart Association required
Responsibilities:
Work independently to assess diagnose treat and educate patients consulting with physician as needed
Document information in patients chart regarding assessment diagnosis treatment and education
Provide verbal and/or written information regarding treatment regimens in language that is understandable and appropriate for the patient and/or caregiver
Serve as a credible knowledgeable educational resource for the patient family community and other health care professionals
Record diagnosis/CPT in an accurate timely manner to ensure prompt posting of charges per site protocol
Participate in site meetings and provide input to address patient care issues or operational concerns
Demonstrate service philosophies to patients and families through ability to identify self explain visit process and provide information regarding length of visit
