We are seeking experiencedPhysicians who have urgent care or emergency room experience treating both adult and pediatric patients to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers in the surrounding region part time or full time.

Job Summary

Urgent care Physicians provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats colds flu-like symptoms cuts sprains and minor infections.

Job Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited medical school required

Work Experience

• 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience

• Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting

• Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine

• Active state medical licensure

Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required

• Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting

• Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing splinting etc.

Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities Preferred

• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records

• Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills

Essential Functions

Essential functions are those tasks duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the jobs purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. Following are the essential functions of the job.

• Examining and treating patients

• Taking patients medical histories

• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays

• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications

• Treating minor injuries that may require sutures splints or casting

• Recording progress notes for follow-up patients

• Educating and counseling patients

• Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients

• Giving vaccinations and referring patients to additional care

• All other duties as assigned
