Job Description
Exciting Career Opportunity: Medical Director - Neonatology
Join an esteemed practice at a leading medical facility in Carrollton Georgia where you will have the opportunity to lead a vibrant neonatology team dedicated to caring for the tiniest patients. This permanent medical director position is ideal for a well-trained enthusiastic and team-oriented individual eager to provide excellent care and foster mentorship within the community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the neonatology practice while collaborating with hospital administration and the regional management team.
- Provide coverage for a growing Level-III 10-bed NICU with approximately 1000 annual births.
- Facilitate growth and mentorship for other physicians assuming leadership roles within the hospital and community.
- Work a full-time schedule with one week on and one week off including rounding and call from home.
- Enjoy full-time Nurse Practitioner coverage.
- Participate in a facility recognized as a Top 15 Health System by Truven Health Analytics in previous years.
- Relocation may be required and the position requires residency within the immediate local area.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine - REQUIRED
- Georgia medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (completion prior to start) - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice and license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Eligibility for visa support (J1 or H1B) - REQUIRED
- DEA must be obtained prior to start - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board certification in Pediatrics
- Board certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Georgia medical license
- DEA registration
