Job Description
Locum Physician - Hospitalist Opportunity in Grand Island NE
Summary: Join a dedicated healthcare team in Grand Island Nebraska where youll manage hospitalized patients in a supportive environment. The hospital offers a dynamic practice setting and follows a daily management culture that emphasizes effective communication and teamwork. Using the EPIC system youll maintain meticulous patient records and actively participate in daily huddles responding to clinical queries and collaborating with nursing staff. Being in-house during code blues and rapid responses ensures your vital role in patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Daily management of hospitalized patients adhering to local practice culture.
- Document patient notes accurately in EPIC without copying and pasting.
- Participate in daily huddles and respond to CDI queries.
- Attend code blues and rapid responses when in-house.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers for optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) - Required
- NE License or IMLC (LOQ in hand) - Required
- Internal Medicine residency preferred; Family Medicine ok with hospitalist experience - Required
- Must possess ACLS DEA and BLS certifications - Required
- Clean malpractice history preferred
- Availability at the time of credentialing - Required
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must hold an active Nebraska medical license or IMLC.
- ACLS BLS DEA certifications required.
