Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree in a Mass Communication or related field.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Terminal degree in Mass Communication or related field.
Experience teaching Mass Communication or related field.
Experience working in television or related broadcast industries.
Experience in professional media content development.
Experience working with students.
Supervisory experience in media production or related fields.
Job duties & responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the station;
Manage the unit budget personnel programming content development promotion and station website;
Oversee all physical and digital assets of the Television Station;
Supervise professional staff student workers and student interns;
Develop relationships with external constituents of the school;
Teach in the area of Media Production;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of professional video production and broadcast equipment;
Knowledge of non-linear editing Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software;
Experience with producing and budgeting.
Familiarity with television studio production.
The ability to manage websites and video streaming.
Must be able to promote and clearly communicate the stations vision.
Must have a strong community service orientation.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
