Job Description

LS Technologies LLC is seeking a highly motivated energetic and results-oriented Test Engineer with proven radar experience to support the Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA) Remote Identification (RID) program. The successful candidate will leverage radar systems expertise to assist in the testing evaluation and validation of technologies used for identifying and tracking airborne assets. This role will involve close collaboration with FAA stakeholders participation in system integration efforts and execution of rigorous test plans to ensure program objectives are met.

Job Description:

  • Perform highly complex testing and analyze network systems development including integration systems testing probability testing field test plans and customer acceptance plans to maintain the credibility/viability of the system.
  • Investigate and report complex operational matters of significance in conjunction with other engineering and technical support to ensure cost effective and efficient resolution to problems.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in design development implementation and maintenance of test processes and diagnostic programs for systems testing.
  • Support Leads and consult with client management on complex systems; determine system requirements; recommend process and/or program improvement coordinate with project team and follow through on implementation.
  • Design and develop test plans procedures and tools.
  • Conduct customer-witnessed testing and document results.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Organize and maintain baseline regression procedures in support of operational releases.
  • Support Operational patch testing including system and adaptation changes.

Qualifications:

  • Applied radar operations expertise to enhance FAA Remote Identification (RID) program capabilities and safety initiatives.

  • Assisted in the integration and evaluation of radar-based tracking solutions for identifying and monitoring airborne assets.

  • Collaborated with FAA teams to refine radar data collection analysis and reporting processes to meet RID requirements.

  • Supported system testing and troubleshooting to ensure accurate detection and identification of compliant and non-compliant aircraft.

  • Provided technical insight into radar performance range and accuracy to optimize RID operational effectiveness.

  • Bachelors Degree (Computer Science Engineering Math or related field).
  • 10-15 Years of experience
  • Experience using software testing tools such as RTC RQM DOORS and SQL.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience with FAA standards.

Work Requirements:

  • Work location: Atlantic City NJ
    • Position is: Completely in-person
  • Work Hours:9-5
  • Travel: 10%
  • Physical requirements:
    • Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
    • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
    • Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware networking equipment and server rooms.
    • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment troubleshoot issues and perform tasks requiring precision.
    • Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
  • Background check: Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Compensation (Pay Bands)

Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors such as (but not limited to) education certifications knowledge skills competencies and experience location and clearance level as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California Colorado New York or Washington D.C.
