Job Title: Investment Senior PR Manager

The Role
To drive our reputation with the investment and trade media as part of a growing corporate communications and affairs team building awareness for the business and in particular in the crowded asset management industry.
Outcomes of the Role
To work collaboratively with the Director to support a communications strategy and programme for the Group which connects to brand purpose and values and engages professional and institutional audiences as part of an integrated and agreed approach.
To carry and make relevant our positive narrative for key investment and
specialist media audiences in line with brand positioning and corporate
narrative communications strategy and team.
To lead the development of our press office capability targeting professional and
institutional audiences as part of a wider corporate communications team.
To develop a systematic B2B: media engagement plan segmented by audience
To proactively and reactively write cut-through content
To maintain and tap into the list of our most credible spokespeople notably to support fund managers and senior leaders in RAM.
To support and enable B2B marketing campaigns aligning as part of the overall comms strategy.
To orchestrate our investment and trade media company events speaker opportunities and awards submissions as part of a wider strategy to support the Group
To support work across the function to streamline the Groups use of agencies
Knowledge Skills and Experience
- You will be well connected with UK journalists across the media relevant to asset management IFA and institutional / professional investors ideally also with some international contacts and experience.
- Possessing a keen news sense and interest in wealth and asset management you will have a good understanding of the sector(s) gained either as a journalist or working in PR and media relations with journalists in asset management for minimum of 3 years
- A self starter who likes getting things done you will be curious and enjoy identifying helping to build write and create stories from our business relevant to the wider news agenda to help position us with target audiences and support our wider comms strategy
- You will be a good listener and collaborative both with other teams working on external brand and marketing and stakeholders from all parts of our business also possess good influencing skills and an ability to form relationships with a wide mix of internal andexternal stakeholders
