  • Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers enabling them to create value for their customers.

  • Our investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market through either public markets or alternative asset classes.

About the Department

Youll be joining theProduct Operations teamwithin Aberdeen Adviser a key enabler of our transition to a product operating model. The team works closely with both established and newly formed product and enabling teams to embed delivery methods that drive high performance across our product and technology operations.

About the Role

As aMethod Lead you will be responsible for facilitating teams and stakeholders in applying and adapting delivery methods that maximise value and align with strategic goals. Acting as a coach subject matter expert and enabler you will support teams in shaping valuable opportunities refining feasible solutions delivering high-quality outputs and capturing learnings for sustained performance improvement.

You will use data observation and team feedback to foster a culture of continuous improvement and help evolve our product operating model and delivery method.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embed and adapt established delivery methods (e.g. Agile Scrum Lean Kanban) to suit team and organisational contexts.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align delivery efforts with strategic goals and measurable outcomes translating objectives into actionable team plans.

  • Facilitate teams in prioritising high-value work and delivering incremental value to customers and stakeholders.

  • Enable teams to establish and track delivery performance metrics (e.g. lead time throughput quality) to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives planning sessions and iterative optimisation.

  • Coach teams to self-manage take ownership of their processes and deliver against agreed outcomes.

  • Facilitate adaptive dependency management and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams in multi-team or scaled delivery environments.

  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges mitigate risks and adapt to shifting priorities.

  • Promote adoption of new practices or tools that enhance delivery effectiveness while addressing resistance to change.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following

  • Proven expertise in applying and adapting delivery methods (e.g. Agile Scrum Lean Kanban) across diverse team environments to drive measurable business outcomes.

  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills enabling teams to self-manage improve performance and sustain delivery over time.

  • Experience partnering with stakeholders to define objectives prioritise work manage dependencies and resolve delivery challenges.

  • Proficiency in setting up tracking and interpreting delivery performance metrics (e.g. lead time cycle time throughput) to identify and act on improvement opportunities.

  • Demonstrated success in fostering a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives planning sessions and iterative optimisation.

  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and influence change.

  • Experience working in multi-team or cross-functional environments managing interdependencies and promoting adaptive delivery practices.
