ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to the following:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the RFP/Proposal Department.
- Coordinate and schedule RFP/RFI/standard proposal responses ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Lead proposal strategy sessions with the sales team to align content with business objectives and client needs.
- Oversee and maintain the RFP database ensuring content is current and reflective of subject matter expert updates.
- Direct and support the proposal team in the preparation of re-pricing documentation GeoAccess reporting and other proposal support materials.
- Ensure all client-facing documents maintain corporate identity standards and are proofread for accuracy and consistency.
- Hire train and onboard new proposal staff; manage performance and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Establish and document training procedures cross-training plans and departmental best practices.
- Monitor employee performance set goals and objectives and provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Handle team administrative responsibilities including payroll approval PTO approval and performance documentation.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ATRIBUTES
- Proven experience managing a team in a deadline-driven high-volume proposal environment.
- Exceptional writing editing and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite HubSpot and proposal management software such as Qvidian or similar tools.
- Ability to lead and motivate team members while fostering a collaborative and accountable environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in a related area required preferably in English communications business or an equivalent combination of education and experience with comparable knowledge and abilities.
- 7-10 years of proposal writing experience including 5 years of people and team management experience.
- Knowledge and experience in the Healthcare or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industries.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Requires sitting standing and occasional light to medium lifting.
- Some travel may be required.
