The Assessment and Analytics units within the Academic Success Center (ASC) primarily serve incoming and first-year students though some services extend to non-freshmen. Each year the unit administers over 6000 assessments a number that continues to grow. The core mission is to support new students by ensuring accurate course placement through assessments in alignment with mandates from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. The Assessment Center Coordinator plays a vital role in managing assessment operations and leading the Assessment & Analytics team. This individual ensures students placement testing needs are met through effective communication efficient processes and responsive service. The Coordinator also supports student success by overseeing proctoring services engaging with parents and collaborating with other university departments on assessment-related policies and procedures. This role involves the daily coordination of placement testing including test setup virtual proctoring managing exceptions communicating scores and referring students to advisors. The position requires proficiency with Zoom and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues across various operating systems. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
