Fullstack Engineer (React Native Backend) | Mission-Driven EdTech Startup
Are you excited by the idea of building technology that makes a real difference in people's lives? This purpose-driven EdTech startup is on a mission to transform learning outcomes for students across the UK, and they’re looking for a talented fullstack engineer to help them do it.
As their second engineering hire, you'll play a key role in shaping both their platform and engineering culture from the ground up. You'll work directly with the founders to build intuitive, impactful features that support learners and educators, and you'll have real ownership over the product and the tech stack.

As their second engineering hire, you'll play a key role in shaping both their platform and engineering culture from the ground up. You'll work directly with the founders to build intuitive, impactful features that support learners and educators, and you'll have real ownership over the product and the tech stack.
What You’ll Do:
- Work across the full stack to build and iterate on our core learning platform (React Native backend)
- Own and deliver end-to-end features that improve user experience and learning outcomes
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and our users to make sure what we build really matters
- Help define our engineering practices and contribute to a strong, inclusive tech culture
- Bring a product mindset. You're not just writing code, you're solving problems
- Experience with fullstack development (React Native, , Firebase, or similar)
- A passion for building engaging, user-friendly applications
- Experience (or interest) in gamification, interactive content, or education tools
- A desire to work at an early-stage startup where your work has visible, tangible impact
