The Johns Hopkins Hospital(Marburg 3) -As a 14 bed inpatient unit with a 6 bed telemetry capability we provide specialized care and patient education for patients with acute medicine or surgery needs. Our small unit size allows us to work closely together in a multidisciplinary approach relying on our unique skills to provide excellent service in a team-oriented environment. (split - DOM beds - tele; general medicine Bronchoti service poorly managed chronic conditions; general surgery but lots of variety with overflow; Surgical unit but influx of medicine patients caused split; future of unit influx).

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
  • An associate degree in Nursing is required.
  • Tuition reimbursement - BSN/MSN matriculation required within one-year of hire and completion ofdegree within five-years of hire.
  • Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or Compact State Registered Nursing license is required.
  • CPR/BLScertification required. AHA Red Cross or Military Training Network accepted.

Responsibilities:

  • As an experienced nurse you will help to precept new grad nurses.
  • Opportunities to join unit-based committees.
  • Nurses educate patients and familiesto ensure a safe transition to home or lower acuity facilities as necessary.

About Johns Hopkins Medicine: Notices:

Salary Range: Minimum 38.49/hour - Maximum 59.66/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
