Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical HVAC Designer Intermediate to join their engineering team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects. Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial and industrial applications
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings using Revit AutoCAD and Autodesk software
- Perform load calculations to determine heating and cooling requirements
- Select and specify appropriate mechanical equipment including boilers chillers and pumps
- Create ductwork and hydronic piping layouts for optimal performance
- Design domestic and sanitary plumbing systems
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and regulations
- Collaborate with engineers architects and other trades for coordinated project delivery
- Conduct field inspections and provide technical support during installation and construction
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5 9 years of experience in mechanical HVAC design
- Proficiency in Revit AutoCAD and Autodesk tools
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems hydronic piping and ductwork design
- Familiarity with natural gas systems and plumbing design principles
- Ability to interpret and apply building codes and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
