Job Description
12 years of professional software development experience
Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Onsite (Seattle WA 98109 or Tempe AZ 85281)
Duration: 12 month contract
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable mission-critical systems powering the organizations next generation.
You will work across teams influence technical direction and mentor engineers. You will be expected to balance long-term architectural vision with hands-on implementation and immediate business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design build and maintain distributed systems handling millions of requests per day
Lead architecture reviews and technology roadmap planning
Drive engineering best practices (code reviews testing CI/CD observability)
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define scalable solutions
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on code quality and design
Identify and solve complex ambiguous problems across the stack
Own end-to-end delivery from planning to post-launch support

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science or related field
12 years of professional software development experience
Strong in data structures algorithms and system design
Expertise in one or more languages: Java C Python Go
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
Proven ability to lead complex technical projects independently

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in designing large-scale distributed systems
Deep understanding of microservices event-driven architecture or streaming platforms
Familiarity with DevOps tooling containerization CI/CD
Strong ownership bias for action and problem-solving skills
Prior experience mentoring or leading a small engineering team
Track record of making data-driven architectural decisions
