Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals within the community. This role involves assisting with personal care promoting independence and ensuring the overall well-being of service users.
Responsibilities:
Support individuals with personal care needs such as washing dressing and toileting.
Assist with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking where required.
Promote independence and encourage service users to engage in daily living tasks.
Build positive relationships with individuals and their families.
Support emotional well-being and recognise signs of distress or behavioural changes.
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Ensure a clean safe and comfortable environment in the home.
Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
Primary Skills:
Caring and compassionate approach.
Strong commitment to putting people first.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Previous care work experience.
Familiarity with care plans and documentation procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience preferred but not essential-full training provided.
Weekend availability (alternative weekends or at least one day per weekend).
