Job Description
Were looking for a detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our growing this role you will be responsible for reviewing analyzing and accurately assigning medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for billing and compliance purposes. Youll work with medical records and claim edits to ensure coding accuracy that aligns with industry regulations and payer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and correct errors or rejections in medical claims.

Apply accurate coding using ICD-10 CPT and HCPCS codes.

Ensure coding adheres to National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits global edits and correct coding guidelines.

Address payer-specific specialty-specific and provider/location-specific coding requirements.

Reference and apply standards from AMA CPT guidelines CMS guidelines Medicare/commercial code sets and relevant medical societies.
Manage custom edits and ensure code-to-code relationships are correct and well-supported. -
Review medical records thoroughly to obtain documentation supporting valid and accurate coding.
Qualifications:

At least 1 year of experience in medical coding.

Strong knowledge of NCCI edits ICD-10 CPT and HCPCS.

Familiarity with AMA CPT CMS and other third-party guidelines.

High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.

Ability to work effectively in a structured fast-paced environment.
