Job Description

Were looking for a Digital Literacy Area Coordinator & Trainer who believes everyone deserves the tools to thrive in a connected this role youll work closely with community partners organize and lead friendly hands-on computer basics workshops and support learners of all backgroundsespecially adults and seniorson their journey to digital confidence. If youre patient encouraging and committed to building stronger more connected communities wed love to have you on our team.

Digital Literacy Training Coordination

  • Assist in coordination and delivery of digital literacy training programs for public site users including adults seniors and individuals with limited access to technology.
  • Assist with recruiting and/or placing trainers for workshops
  • Work with the organization and Program Manager to set up workshops (device delivery/distribution connect to projector)
  • Communicate with team about community needs to determine ways we can work best with them

Computer Skills Training Delivery

  • Complete training on developed workshops
  • Prepare for each session by reviewing training materials and past and present lesson plans
  • Work closely with other trainers to ensure high-quality learning experience adjusting materials and methods as needed to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Monitor participant engagement and success providing feedback to program managers for ongoing improvement.
  • Distribute and collect consent and pre/post survey forms from participants.

General Administrative Support

  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as data entry document management and meeting coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records of all training sessions IT support requests and operational activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Computer and Internet familiarity
  • Ability to teach computer skills to adult beginners
  • Professional communication skills (oral and written/email)
  • Friendly patient and positive
  • Ability to work with diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Reliable transportation as training and organizations are in various locations
