3 months contract with local authority
We are seeking an IT Service Catalogue and Procurement Assistant to join our IT Operations team and contribute to the maintenance and management of the Service Catalogue for the IT Service. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing IT goods and services to the organization ensuring cost-effective reliable and agile solutions that support the business transformation programs of the council.
About the team
The role will be part of the Service Catalogue & Procurement team working alongside the Finance and Project team within the IT Operations department. This team is responsible for managing customer contact and responding to customer satisfaction and perception of the service.
Key Relationships
- Reporting to the Service Catalogue and Procurement Controller
- Collaborating with Project & Finance colleagues
- Working with managers and colleagues within IT Operations and the wider IT Service
- Interacting with service staff from across the council including directors leaders and senior managers
- Engaging with external & internal partners and collaborators e.g. NHS
What you will be expected to deliver in the role
Day to day tasks may include:
- Assisting with the administration of the IT Service Catalogue
- Providing equipment and peripherals to customers of the service
- Working with colleagues to ensure sufficient stock is available
- Maintaining additional supporting information for equipment and services available via the IT Service Catalogue
- Assisting with standard and non-standard requests generated via the Service Catalogue
- Supporting colleagues across the IT Service with Procurement requests
- Raising orders on behalf of colleagues across the IT Service
- Assisting with the publishing of pricing information monthly for schools and related services
- Monitoring progress of requests
- Assisting with the delivery of Standard Change minor projects products and services when required

Requirements

- Proven experience in IT service management or related field
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with procurement processes and procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of IT equipment and peripherals
- Understanding of customer service principles and practices
Requirements: Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent knowledge and proven experience in strategic development ITIL v4 Qualification Agile Foundation certificate
