Job Description

The Team Lead/floater is responsible for leading a team of assembly operators on the production floor providing gap coverage ensuring safety quality and output targets are met consistently. This role models professional behavior drives team performance and supports cross-functional coordination to maintain workflow and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

Lead by examplemaintaining professionalism wearing proper PPE and following all line rules

Promote a culture of integrity accountability and teamwork.

Provide coaching direction and support to team members.

Mentor junior team leads and help foster leadership development.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols.

Conduct routine safety checks and promptly report or resolve issues.

Reinforce safety-first culture across all Lines & Area

Quality Oversight

Ensure products meet defined specifications and quality standards.

Partner with Quality Engineering and Team Leads to resolve issues quickly.

Prevent recurring quality defects by addressing root causes with the team.

Training & Development

Train new employees and provide cross-training for flexibility.

Identify skill gaps and recommend development actions.

Ensure all team members are equipped and empowered to succeed.

Be a role model for all team leads

Effective communicator and team motivator.

Production Execution

Manage daily targets for quality throughput 6S and line efficiency.

Monitor takt time and proactively address bottlenecks or staff shortages.

Coordinate with other team lead for people movement and material flow between lines

Plug the gaps where needed across all lines

Communication & Collaboration

Serve as the key link between team lead leadership and support functions.

            Encourage open feedback and foster a problem-solving mindset.


Qualifications :

       High School Diploma or equivalent required.

       3 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing or HVAC environment.

       Previous team lead or leadership experience strongly preferred.

       Strong understanding of assembly tools processes and work instructions.

       Ability to read and interpret product drawings standard work and job travelers.

       Proven ability to lead a team of 1015 employees in a fast-paced environment.

       Strong verbal and written communication skills.

      Comfortable working cross-functionally with quality engineering and support teams.

      Must be detail-oriented organized and capable of problem-solving in real-time.

      Commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement.

      Must be flexible and able to work overtime or other shifts as needed.
