Location: Qatar
Reports To: Site Supervisor / Lifting Supervisor
The Mobile Crane Operator is responsible for operating mobile cranes to lift move position and place materials and equipment as per operational requirements ensuring safe and efficient lifting operations in compliance with company safety and regulatory standards.
Operate mobile cranes to lift move and position heavy loads safely according to worksite requirements.
Conduct pre-operational checks daily inspections and maintenance of the crane to ensure operational readiness.
Follow load charts and lifting plans ensuring compliance with safe working load (SWL) limits.
Work closely with riggers signalmen and site supervisors to execute lifting operations safely and efficiently.
Position and stabilise the crane before lifting using outriggers and blocking when necessary.
Identify potential hazards and ensure lifting operations are conducted in accordance with safety procedures and site-specific risk assessments.
Maintain accurate records of crane operations inspections and maintenance activities.
Report any mechanical issues defects or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
Adhere to all health safety and environmental regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Mobile Crane Operator license/certification in compliance with local regulations.
Minimum 3 5 years of experience operating mobile cranes preferably in construction industrial or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of crane load charts lifting plans and rigging techniques.
Understanding of occupational health and safety standards for lifting operations.
Strong operational and technical skills for mobile crane handling.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
High level of safety awareness and attention to detail.
Ability to work under varying weather and site conditions.
Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding site activities.
